WCCFA located at 1225 Santa Fe Drive Denver, CO

Western Center for the Conservation of Fine Arts
has been providing art conservation services throughout the western United States since 1980.

In 1984, in keeping with its philosophy of preservation, WCCFA acquired and renovated a hundred-year old, 5200 square foot building located in the historic westside of downtown Denver.

Philosophy

Conservation of historic and artistic works is a pursuit requiring extensive training and special aptitudes. It places in the hands of the conservator cultural holdings, which are of great value and historical significance. To be worthy of this special trust requires a high sense of moral responsibility. The conservator has obligations not only to the historic and artistic works with which he is entrusted, but also to the owners or custodians, to his colleagues and trainees, to his profession, to the public and to posterity.
